Another hard, busy week for the team but they keep giving it everything they have to support the local community.

Khalsa Aid International Khalsa Aid

Khalsa Aid International Khalsa Aid supporting FoodAWARE CICHuge thanks to Khalsa Aid International and Khalsa Aid for this fantastic donation of £2,000 worth of food purchased & delivered from our fab partners Lidl GB RDC in Doncaster

It was a real pleasure to meet Daljit a Doncaster-based Khalsa Aid volunteer yesterday at our Hellaby base who also does some fab community relief work with his team at Seikh Youth Doncaster.

This food will be really appreciated by our community projects supporting so many deprived and vulnerable communities across South Yorkshire during challenging Covid times.

Snaffling Pig

Snaffling Pig supporting FoodAWARE CICHuge thanks to Snaffling Pig who donated surplus stock to us for distribution freely to our #community partners this week.

These were very gratefully received, at such time of crisis we are searching out surplus foods more than ever to assist those in need.

We look forward to a wonderful ongoing partnership with Snaffling Pig to support our local communities.

Mexborough Foodbank

FoodAWARE CIC supporting Mexborough FoodbankWow….another crazy week! After our session on Fri 15th having to be cancelled due to snow…our team of volunteers delivered a number of urgent food parcels on Monday. Then a further 27 food parcels delivered on Friday across Mexborough, Conisbrough & Denaby areas.

Thank you so much for all of your support with lots of donations from local residents, businesses and community groups!

On Friday we welcomed our latest volunteer Matt Fearn who usually manages Old Market Hall/Spoons in Mexborough so helping others out while he is furloughed. Also special thanks to Gail Varley for her fab creative skills creating a new ‘Gail’s Fruit & Veg Stall’ sign as she packs up the fresh stuff to accompany our food parcels!
