Huge thanks to Greencore for ongoing support & latest donation of a pallet of surplus sauces for free distribution across our growing #SouthYorkshire community project network in the Cost Of Living Crisis.
It was great to welcome Lizzie, Sarah & Sharon to our Hellaby warehouse a few weeks ago to meet volunteers & observe the work we do.
Hugely proud of our fab ‘Eat Better Spend Less’ cooking education programme which runs from Mexborough Community Hub each Thursday!
We have a fab in-house chef, Naeela, who creates fresh tasty dishes each week utilising some of the masses of surplus food we receive each week from our donors!
And also a fantastic social environment where our volunteers & budding cooks get to know each other and bounce off ideas and creations!
If you want to learn how to cook from basic level to more creative dishes then just drop us an email with your contact details to – firstname.lastname@example.org
Annual Get Together
Another fab night with the fab FA & Mexborough Foodbank team who work so hard all year round helping people less fortunate & Feeding People Not Landfill!
Last night was our annual get together in Doncaster for a slap-up meal at Relish Doncaster, plenty of drinks and of course observing our youngest volunteer Charles Prouten (92) mount the bike outside The Queen Crafthouse & Kitchen and a dance on the dance floor with our Tracy Burnett this time!
Also to New Pastures School who will be making their HF donation after half-term.
Your donations were all fantastic thank you and it was great to me you all with our fab & hard-working volunteers!
This support is most appreciated and much needed as demand for food parcels continues across Mexborough, Denaby & Conisbrough during the #CostOfLivingCrisis.
If you are a local church, school or business who are able to support us at #HarvestFestival time, please contact us on 01709 717186 or via email – email@example.com
Big thks Lidl GB RDC in Doncaster for another recent fab donation – 18 pallets of surplus food into our Hellaby base Rotherham now mostly redistributed to South Yorkshire projects & partners supporting vulnerable & less fortunate across local deprived communities in very challenging times as the cost of living soars.
