Egg-stra special Easter appeal needs your support

THERE’S still time for you to back our eggs-stra special Easter appeal. We’re out to make Easter sweeter for some of the under-privileged kids in our area by collecting Easter eggs for them. We at, Food Aware are running the campaign with the backing of the Advertiser and Dearne Valley Weekender. Ongoing Support From Wetherspoons Mexborough

We would love to give huge thanks to Wetherspoons in Mexborough and all the staff for the ongoing support they have given us. Our team met with Dean and Claire from Old Market Hall, Wetherspoons in Mexborough with Graham (one of the Spoons photographers) to take a photo which will appear in the next quarterly Wetherspoons Magazine which is distributed in around 1,000 Wetherspoons pubs across the UK! Lidl helps brighten up Christmas for McDonalds

CHRISTMAS was a “Lidl” cheerier for one Mexborough family thanks to a community link-up with the German supermarket chain. A £100 Christmas food hamper was presented to the McDonald family with help from Mexborough’s Food Aware and haulage firm JP Walton and son. JP Walton and Lidl both donated £50 of goodies and Food Aware and Mexborough Children’s Centre chose a family to receive it. A bumper family Christmas thanks to Mexborough businesses

ONE family received a bumper Christmas present from a supermarket and a haulage firm. Mexborough’s Lidl store teamed up with JP Walton & Son Transport, the Mexborough Foodbank and food distribution firm Food Aware to present a hamper of goodies to a deserving family.
