It was great to see Local Food Programme Manager Mark Wheddon and Senior Grants Officer Maria Marsden at our Maltby base in Rotherham last week. Mark and Maria also saw our training 5-a-day market stall in full swing along with...Read More
Our ‘HYPER’ project is in full swing beyond local food funding…and Local suppliers still support us!

Here is a photo of our Mark who is one of our key ‘HYPER Local Food Community Champions’ (plus runner-up of ‘Local Food Hero’ for Yorkshire region in 2013!). He is pictured with a van full of ‘surplus’ and locally grown potatoes kindly donated (as they have done every week for over two years) by our friends at...Read More
Our ‘Food for the Future’ project is certainly ‘growing’ both in the ground and in the hearts and minds of our hard-working volunteers and trainees! The project is being delivered in partnership with @AdProRotherham and @RMBCPress at our Addison Road base in Maltby, Rotherham, South Yorkshire. It is funded by Humber Learning Consortium (@HLCTrainingNews). The project aims to grow local and healthy food in dedicated beds e.g. salad and vegetables and nurturing them into a successful harvest. Then our trainees prepare tasty dishes e.g. salads, curries, soups etc in the on-site kitchen. #FieldToFork at its best! Here’s Jonathan and...Read More
